Cookie policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This cookie policy explains how JoinLike (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you access joinlike.com and associated tools.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you browse websites. They allow web platforms to remember your login session, store your preferences, and ensure essential features operate securely.

2. How JoinLike uses cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum: the ones strictly necessary to deliver our services, plus optional analytics and preference cookies you control.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Essential for you to sign in, navigate the dashboard, and protect against security vulnerabilities.
    • jl_session: Stores your encrypted session authentication token when signed in.
    • jl_cookie_consent: Stores your cookie choices for one year.
    • CSRF tokens: Prevents unauthorized cross-site form submissions.

These cookies cannot be switched off because the platform cannot function without them.

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4): Help us understand how JoinLike is used, such as which pages are visited and how people find us, so we can improve it. We only look at aggregate usage statistics.
    • _ga: Distinguishes visitors with a random identifier. Expires after up to 2 years.
    • _ga_<id>: Keeps the state of a visit for our property. Expires after up to 2 years.

Provider: Google LLC. IP addresses are anonymized before storage, Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and we never send names, email addresses, handles, or account IDs to Google Analytics. Links to public lists and invites are reported without the handle or token in them.

If you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland (or we can’t tell where you are), analytics cookies are off until you accept them in the cookie banner. Elsewhere they are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time.

  • Functional and preference cookies: Used to remember your interface choices and editor settings.
    • Theme previews and active filter selections.
    • Temporary preview states in the builder.

3. Third-party cookies

We work with trusted third-party partners who may set cookies to deliver their integrated services:

  • Google OAuth: When signing in with your Google account, Google may set cookies to authenticate your identity and protect against fraudulent login attempts.
  • Dodo Payments: When accessing the checkout or customer billing portal, Dodo Payments may set security and fraud-detection cookies to safeguard payment processing.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we never grant Google consent for ad storage or ad personalization. We do not use data-broker pixels.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count overall traffic. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

4. How to control your cookie preferences

You have full control over the cookies stored on your device:

  • On JoinLike: You can change your choices at any time with , found in our site footer, the account menu, and the footer of public lists. Turning analytics off removes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
  • Google Analytics opt-out: You can block Google Analytics on every website with Google’s browser opt-out add-on.
  • In your browser: Most web browsers allow you to manage, block, or delete cookies through their settings (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or managing your lists.

5. Updates to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to adapt to technical improvements or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated revision date.
